Fire Safety Training to Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service

In February 2008 PROACTIVE Fire Safety Consultants provided the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service with a one week modularised fire safety training course for watch and crew commanders (Managing Technical Fire Safety). This course was delivered by PROACTIVE in the NIFRS Training Centre at Boucher Crescent. The course covered relevant fire safety topics such as Legislation, Building construction, Means of Escape , Fire Risk Assessment and Fire Alarm Systems. The course group was made up of crew and watch commanders and those officers with more fire safety experience who would then deliver further courses. It is envisaged that PROACTIVE will carry out an audit of the process later in the year.
