  • Chemistry of fire and how to avoid a fire occurring.
  • Action to be taken if a fire occurs.
  • Fire extinguisher training (Theory)
  • Course duration 1 ½ hours / Maximum course size 20

Intermediate Fire Awareness Course

  • Aimed at all employers who require their staff to have a practical knowledge in the use of fire extinguishers
  • Includes all of the content of the Basic fire awareness course.
  • Practical fire extinguisher training
  • Course duration 2 ½ hours / Maximum course size 20

Fire Warden / Fire Marshall Course

  • For all staff with added responsibility in relation to fire safety in their workplace.
  • Provides an understanding of their responsibilities under fire safety legislation
  • Classification of fire.
  • Fire extinguisher training (Theory).
  • Practical fire extinguisher training.
  • Practical role of a fire warden explained.
  • Human behaviour in fire.
  • Company policies and procedures can be included.
  • Smoke filled room scenario, when requested.
  • Course duration 3 ½ hours / Maximum course size 15

Fire Awareness Residential Care Homes Course

  • This course has been specifically designed to meet the needs of staff in residential care / nursing homes.
  • Passive and active fire precautions explained.
  • Specialist evacuation procedures for the evacuation of residents.
  • Ensures compliance with HTM 84 (Residential care premises guidance document)
  • Course duration 1 ½ hours / Maximum course size 20
